LF 401

Summary
LF 401 is a spraying film which used for waterproofing to concrete structures. It is mainly used for spraying construction between shotcrete or cast-in-place concrete to make a "sandwich". It has good bond strength and elasticity between the two concrete. As a bonding entity, it provides excellent waterproofing properties for underground structures to prevent water ingress. LF 401 will get hardened within 4 to 6 hours (depending on environmental conditions) after spraying off, providing sufficient time for concrete lining and effectively ensuring construction progress. Similar to other shotcrete products, it can not prevent water penetration through the concrete. For such cases, it will be better to start spraying after water drainage. (Please refer to the LF 401 technical description. However, the LF 401 can be used in humid working (Non flowing water) surfaces. LF401 is also suitable for steel fiber shotcrete structures.)

Compatibility
● LF 401 can be sprayed on any type of concrete surface, ensuring that the surface is clean and free of loose particles before operation. Fibrous or non-fibrous shotcrete or poured concrete can be constructed on the cured spray film.
● It also can  be combined to constructed with traditional waterproof roll.

Spray Tech
The spray distance is 2 ~ 2.5 meters. The nozzle operation shall be subject to the force seal LF-401 completely spraying covering the base surface organization. When clogging occurs, insert the line into water to avoid large amounts of dust.

Maintenance
The maintenance speed depends on the site environmental conditions. Subsequent construction can usually be carried out within 8 hours (or less) of applying the force seal LF 401.

Dosage
The following figure shows the reference amount of an average thickness of 3mm per square meter of shotcrete base with different roughness:
● In rough concrete surface, when the amount of force seal LF-401 exceeds 6kg/m2, you can consider using cement mortar leveling. It is recommended that the maximum aggregate particle size of screed mortar should not exceed 4mm. The leveling layer can significantly reduce the amount of force seal LF401;
● If external curing agent is used on the surface of the concrete, it should be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before spraying;
● The dynamic water should be plugged and pre-treated. After the water is extracted from the hose, the LF-401 film can be forcibly sealed and fixed on the concrete surface for covering. The above methods should be selected according to the actual situation on the site.

Procedures
LF-401 should be used for dry spray construction. The SEED SOVA\SOVE or selected spray equipment must be equipped with a dust collection filter or similar dust collection system, as shown below.
Operation procedures:
● 1. Water supply on; 2.Power on ventilation; 3. Power on feeder; 4. Spraying; 5. Stop feeder; 6.Stop air supply; 7. Stop water supply;
* Note: If no water is added to the nozzle, spraying cannot be performed. The amount of water is 40 ~ 60% of the weight of the product. The ambient temperature of LF401 is recommended to be +5℃ ~ +40℃.

Inner concrete lining construction
● Both shotcrete and in-situ concrete can be applied directly to a fully cured force-sealed LF-401 spray film (usually 4-6 hours, depending on environmental conditions);
● LF-401 spray film can quickly accept the inner lined concrete, unless unexpected conditions such as heavy water seepage, temperature below 5 ° C or static water load exceeds the bond strength of the spray film with the base concrete;
● If the inner concrete lining is applied within a few hours after spraying, it will inhibit the development of the bond strength of the spraying film. But it will reach design strength in 56 days.

Equipment cleaning
● Dry spray equipment and conveying pipelines should be cleaned with compressed air. The nozzles and syringes should be cleaned with water;
● Spray film attached to equipment can be removed with dry sand.

Storage
● Warranty period of LF-401 is 12 months;
● It shall be sealed in the original packaging bag, and keep the environment dry and rough;
● The storage temperature: +5℃～+40℃.

Healthy and safety
● This product does not contain any toxic ingredients. However, it is still recommended to wear gloves, protective goggles and a mask when spraying;
● During the operation, attention should be paid to the relevant dust removal measures given in this manual. Please refer to the product safety manual for more information;
● Clean the pump and grouting pipe with clean oil or hydraulic oil during suspension or after grouting is finished.
